I shouldn't really mention this. The investigation is still on-going and I probably know too much as it is and will, upon her reading of this, be repremanded by a certain someone.....maybe.
I'm not mentioning any names here cause when you start pointing fingers someone is bound to get poked, and I don't wanna poke anyone here (Thank you, Edward Norton from "Death To Smoochy").
So, yeah, a very historical building in my town burned down a few weeks ago. Hell, the fucking thing was built by the guy whom this city is named after...so there ya go.
Reading the paper from today, it was mentioned that this is the biggest fire in the city's history and how the building was a historical landmark and it was........hell, my grandfather worked at the place. I think.
Anyway, officals are saying it was an accident by some local teenagers and wasn't done out of meanness or anything like that, but shit.....I'm not sure how many people in the community will let them off that easy.
I dunno, I'm just scared these kids, who, yes, should not have been there in the first place, are going to be labeled the rest of their lives, in this town anyway, as the ones who burned down that building. I mean, the people here will never let them live that down.....or so I presume. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
