Currently, I am working on City Of Heroes. Playing a character I created way back in May of '04 and I am *this* close to hitting Level 50 with that character. Level 50 is the highest you can reach in the game so far. Been a long road with that guy. Once 50 is made, I will this gain access to a new character set with which I can start over with. How interested am I in doing that? Not as interested as I am in taking a break from that game. I still have Half-Life 2, and a few others to take a look at.
I recently picked up Resident Evil 4. A game I honestly wasn't interested in till I started reading reviews for it and hearing all this "reinvention of the survival horror game" type of stuff. I dunno how reinventing it is, but it's a lot of fun so far.
"The Punisher" came out this week and it's a little interesting to me. I played the PC demo and it holds promise of a fun, quick, popcorn type game. Nothing heavily involved, but probably a lot of fun to go through. Might wait for that one to come down in price a bit before I pick it up. The demo I played plenty of times just to watch the many different ways you could kill a guy. So yeah, I don't think it'll suck sweaty goat balls or anything, but my expectations for it aren't very high either.
News broke a few weeks ago of "Myst V: End Of Ages", and it's being promoted as the final chapter in the Myst series. I hate to see it come to an end, if, in fact, it really is. You can only cap off a series before demand tells you that doing another would make you a lot of money. Still, part of me is excited to see how they end it and what will happen in the story, and the other part of me is sad to see it go. As many of you know, I have a love affair of those games. "Myst V: End Of Ages" is set for a release in the fall of this year.
Not sure I ever mentioned it, but a big congratulations to my friends Ben (barbequed_alien) & Kimberly (pookim21) who got engaged back in December. Their marriage is set for release in the fall of this year as well.
